- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, preferably 80/20
- 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
For the glaze:
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, 1 cup dried breadcrumbs, 1 1/4 cup whole milk, 1 beaten egg, 1/4 cup minced onion. 1 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1/4 teaspoon celery salt, 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt, 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard, and 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and gently mix using a fork. Place the mixture in an ungreased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, mix the 1/2 cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, and 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard until thoughouly combined. Spread evenly over the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 1/4 hours or until a thermometer inserted into the center reads 160 degrees.
- Rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
