My copy of @grossypelosi’s “Let’s Eat” finally arrived last night and while I haven’t had the chance to read cover to cover yet I’m obviously already in love (the picture of Bimpy on the dedication page). I’m not sure what to make first – although that Banana Nutella Cake with Mascarpone Frosting is calling my name – but also the Fried Stuffed Olives, Seafood Stuff Shells with Old Bay Breadcrumbs, The Big Italian Sandwich (that centerfold 😍) ok, so maybe just the entire cookbook!
Like his Instagram account, each page bursts with his warm openness, sense of humor, and ability to make you feel like part of the family – a trait he shares with Ina.
I first learned about Dan through his former roommates who made his Summer Corn Tomato Cucumber Salad for one of our house dinners in Fire Island. One taste and I was hooked – after following Dan it was impossible not to fall in love with his energy. Not only is he a phenomenal cook, but such a genuinely good person – I can’t thank him enough for all the help he’s offered and the sage advice he’s given!
