Each month I’m highlighting a different non-Ina cookbook – these can be old favorites, classics I need to try, or new books I’m excited about. I’ll make at least one recipe from each chapter of the book to get an overall flavor of each.
So many people have said I should tackle ALL of Deb’s recipes now that I’ve wrapped up Ina! While I won’t be doing every recipe, I could not be more excited to take a deeper dive into her first cookbook.
I’m sure you’re all familiar with Smitten Kitchen – after all, she is an OG of food blogging and has a massive following thanks to her phenomenal recipes, humor, and relatability
I’ve always been a huge fan of Deb’s and just about fainted when she started following me several years back. We had plans in Spring 2020 to cook some Ina recipes together but COVID and the pandemic had other ideas for us! We finally got together this past March for a tasty lunch at Jack’s Wife Freida’s and it honestly felt like getting together with an old friend. There’s a reason so many have fallen in love not only with the food but Deb herself – she’s hilarious, smart, and incredibly down to earth. Her enthusiasm is contagious!
I’ve loved recipes of hers like Chicken Marsala Meatballs, Pizza Beans, and Spiced Cauliflower and Potatoes and cannot wait to explore more in the book!
If you have the book, I hope you’ll cook along with me and if you don’t I hope this inspires you to check it out! The book is available for purchase here.
Each post will explore a couple dishes from each chapter which I will link to below when they go live!
