Lacey Ostermann may be the Queen of “Will It Focaccia,” but I had to start her new cookbook with the sandwich bread recipe – because I NEEDED to try these Cheesy Garlic Swirls.

Lacey clearly knows our collective obsession with cheesy garlic bread is real – she includes a version of garlic bread for all three doughs in the book. This one starts with soft, pillowy sandwich dough, rolled into a rectangle, slathered with a garlic-parmesan-parsley butter, and sprinkled with mozzarella for that irresistible cheesy pull.

It’s rolled up, sliced with dental floss (the classic move to not smoosh your rolls), nestled into a baking dish, brushed with cream, and baked until golden brown and bubbling. And OMG were they perfection – move over cinnamon rolls, there’s a new favorite swirl in town!
