I realize that this recipes comes from the Jon Snow who owned Fishes & Loaves in the Sagaponack, but I can’t help but imagine Jon Snow from Game of Thrones somehow procuring fish and cooking this at The Wall!*
I like tuna salad, but there was something about fish salad that didn’t sound right to me. Luckily, my desire to tie this recipe to the Season 7 premiere of Game of Thrones overrode any remaining resistance I had to making this recipe. 😉
This is a perfect summer dish and it makes a ton — there are 2.5 pounds of fish in it. Believe me, you’ll be happy you have every ounce of it. I’m not embarrassed to say I polished off most of this by myself over the course of a week. Ina’s recipe calls for firm white fish fillets and recommends Halibut, but I used cod and it turned out great. Toasted toasted ciabatta rolls are great for serving and adds a nice crunch.
*My knowledge of GoT ends after the first season, so it’s entirely possible he makes this in a later season.
