A virgin lit the black flame candle … This Halloween, Ina Jeffrey and I are brewing up a batch of Winifred Sanderson’s Life Potion, and once it’s finished, we’ll suck the life out of all the children in East Hampton! It’s a simple mix of oil of boil, the blood of an owl, a dash of pox, dead man’s toe, green newt saliva, finished off with a bit of thine own tongue. It’s a classic recipe that’s kept us young since 1693! Make sure you use gooood green newt saliva. And if you’re fresh out of dead man’s toe, store-bought is fine
