Steak Over Frites from Dan Pelosi’s New Cookbook: A Restaurant-Quality Meal at Home

Hap, hap, happy Pub Day, Dan Pelosi! The new book is absolutely stunning (but like… are we even surprised?). After flipping through, I knew the very first recipe had to be his Steak over Frites!

The recipe calls for three ribeyes (it is a party book, after all), but since it was just the two of us, we scaled down to one – though, of course, kept the full amount of fries. 😉

The steaks get a gentle warm-up in the oven, then a quick stovetop sear before being smothered in garlicky herb butter and served over twice-fried fries with Parmesan and parsley.

Skip the steakhouse and make this restaurant-quality dish at home instead! Even the fries (which I almost never attempt at home because they’re rarely as good) were so worth it – I’d make them again in a heartbeat. Can’t wait to dive into the rest of the cookbook.
