I was a little intimidated to try this one — while the overall recipes is relatively straight forward, I wasn’t convince that I couldn’t successfully transform the liquidy pancake mix into a pancake bowl in the oven. I was prepared to have an ugly, but delicious, collapsed bowl.
Fortunately these came out perfect! They have a spongy, crepe feel rather than a traditional pancake. After a bit of researching, discovered that this is more commonly know as a Dutch baby (what’s up with that name?!?)
Once you remove them from the oven, you fill the bowl with an assortment of delicious berries and finished it off with a sprinkling of confectionary sugar and a bit of real maple syrup. YUM!
