One of my foodie coworkers had their birthday last week, and I told her I’d make any of Ina’s desserts to celebrate. She initially was leaning toward Ina’s coconut cake before settling on Orange Pound Cake. After realizing that this recipe makes two loaves, I briefly considered cutting it in half but decided against it since I’m always worried about throwing off the chemistry of the cake. Unfortunately, I don’t have two loaf pans, so I made one loaf and one 9×9 sheet.
The pound cake was moist and delicious, but the orange glaze and frosting really made this special!
