The first recipe from Lidey’s Cooking in Real Life is the perfect weeknight meal that doesn’t skimp on flavor: Salmon with Honey & Chili Crunch!
For this recipe, the Momofuku Chili Crunch does the heavy lifting – the spicy, umami-rich, crunchy sauce is mixed with honey and rice vinegar before being slathered on the salmon and roasted until the salmon is flakey and the glaze caramelized.
I have about four different versions of chili crisp in my fridge, but this gave me an excuse to try a new one (shhhh, don’t tell Alex) and I absolutely love the heat!
Taking Lidey’s suggestion, we served this with her Crunchy Cucumber Salad with Peanuts & Chili Flakes – a crunchy, light, easy salad dressed in a mix of toasted sesame oil, rice vinegar, and soy sauce. It was a delightful contrast to the richness of the salmon.
Two recipes in and I already adding to the regular rotation.
